Via press release:

A role of the Association of Independent Authors is to establish and maintain standards for its members with regard to both writing, and a code of conduct for when dealing with others in the industry. In the same way individual publishing houses offer an implied guarantee of editorial quality for the titles they publish, the Association of Independent Authors assumes a similar role for its members who are career-focused professionals engaged in the art of writing.

The formation of thirteen chapters across the globe offers an opportunity for members in those locations to meet face-to-face, and to develop initiatives suited to their local community, for example monthly events with guest speakers, trade fairs, library programs, community charity events, book launches, tours and signings, coffee shop promotions, and hosting local literary events.

Authors who have self-published, those who plan to do so in the future, and authors who have previously published with a publishing house but who plan to self-publish in the future, are invited to join the AiA this month with a first-year complimentary membership using the Promo Code: CHAPTERS
